What kind of procedure is it and what are its advantages?
Primary axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) usually begins in childhood or early adolescence but can occur at any age. This is usually lifelong, although in some people the symptoms can spontaneously improve over time. Severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis can be identified by 3 or 4 points on the severity scale of hyperhidrosis disease. How does the procedure work?
The procedure lasts about an 1-1,5 hours and is performed under local anesthesia. Armpit hair removal should be done a couple of days before treatment. No other drugs are required. The doctor makes an injection in the armpits.
The technology works on the principle of microwave radiation. It has long been used for non-contact tissue heating in physiotherapy and surgery, and now in cosmetology.
